Ella Aquina Carlson, welcome to the family!
Ella Carlson was born on Friday, October 12 at 11:18pm! She weighed 8.1 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Mother and baby are doing wonderful, but we're all pretty tired after being up for 40 hours straight, including 24 hours of labor, phew! Erika was so courageous through it all and she's adjusting very well to motherhood. Ella is a big eater, apparently, and figured out the whole latch thing quite easily. The Carlsons got home today, Sunday Oct 14, around 2pm and introduced Ella to a very excited Cooper - let's just say Ella got her first of many tongue baths! Enjoy the pictures of our beautiful daughter below.

Yeah!!!! I was so excited to click on your blog and see your new baby girl!! She is beautiful! Congrats!!
Erika - You'll have to fill me on on the "experience". You look great.
Talk to you soon!!
Tim and Erika,
Thanks for making us grandparents! We are overwhelmed with love for little Ella, who is so sweet and beautiful! Great job to both of you. She has been born into a large family who is welcoming her and can't wait to meet her and of course, will be supported by all your wonderful friends! Love to you 3, Nonna and he-who-doesn't-know-who-he-wants-to-be-called-yet!
Congratulations! She is so cute. I am so happy to hear that she is healthy and happy and that everything went well. That sounds like a long 40 hours, Erika. What a great name, too! Can't wait to meet her in person!
Such a beautiful baby!!! I can't wait to smother her with love until the "abandonment" begins...i.e. you leave Arlington. Congrats to the both of you!
